After Bug 1053898, the markup view will display non-slotted direct host children.
Take a page like the one in attachment, the host has some direct children but they are not in the actual DOM.
Should they still be displayed in the markup view?
Note: I believe that some older version of Chrome used to not display them, but they do now.

Closing this as invalid. From all the discussions we had we want to display those children. Displaying them "differently" is a possible enhancement that will be tackled in Bug 1473898
