The loop iterating over the output of `hg status -m -a` in mach stalls when running python3. Some linux distros now run python3 by default. The fix is simple enough. See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37500410/python-2-to-3-conversion-iterating-over-lines-in-subprocess-stdout#37501756
