Select 'Category' and 'Add a new category' then I can't use that new category for any other tasks. Must create the same category name again.

Steps to reproduce:
- Pick a task
- Select 'Tasks'
- Select 'Category'
- Type in name of category in 'Add a new category' e.g., Coding To-DO
- The new category can be seen from the selection.
- Now, close down Thunderbird, and choose a different task this time to add to 'Coding To-Do'. You'll now see that the category can't be chosen.
Actual results:
You can't select 'Coding To-Do' for any other tasks, besides the one you selected at the start.
Expected results:
You should be able to save the task 'Coding To-Do' so that you can group a number of tasks together in the same category. Instead, of creating the same new category again, and again.

As far as I know this is intended. You can setup the default categories in Options > Calendar > Categories. The entry in the Event/Task dialog only allows to apply a one time, non default category.
Hi.
I was aware of the section in preferences > calendar > categories, but would it not be more efficient to allow the ability to add a new category from the Task window? There also seems to be no way to delete a new category once you've made it.

Summary: There's an issue with Tasks. When I select 'Category' and 'Add a new category' I can't use that newly named category for any other tasks. The only way to do so is to create the same category name again each time. → Select 'Category' and 'Add a new category' then I can't use that new category for any other tasks. Must create the same category name again.

There is a clear state of confusion for 'Creating new Category'.
I've had Support Forum queries on this identical topic.
To Create, Edit, Delete new Categories:
- Settings > Calendar > scroll down to 'Categories'
To create an adhoc one off category for a particular Task:
- Do this whilst in the 'New Task' window - Category - Add a new Category'
It would be a helpful enhancement to change the 'New Task' 'Add a new category' text to something which is not going to be misunderstood.
Such as : 'Or Add a single use Category'
