I can't reproduce this on a local build of Firefox 61 on 10.13.4. Can you please try using mozregression to see when this stopped working for you? http://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/

I tried on multiple devices and was only able to reproduce the issue not using mozregression.
Every time I use mozregression the issue does not reproduce on any build(including the latest).
But on the manually installed build the issue reproduces always with the latest Nightly.

Okay, in that case it sounds like it is something to do with your profile. Do you have any extensions installed? What does your about:support show?

I have tested on multiple devices and the issue is reproducible.
This has been tested and reproduced on a new profile.
I suspected that the upgrade might be causing it, but I downloaded the latest nightly build and the issue was still reproducible.

Assuming the checkbox in Preferences is still checked after the restart, this is sounding more like a Session Restore bug.

marius, is this still happening for you? If so, could you please email me your sessionstore.jsonlz4 file so that I can take a look at it and debug what you're seeing myself?

The file sessionstore.jsonlz4 is missing, it is not present for new profiles after reproducing the bug in the profile folder.

Hello! I have tried to reproduce the issue using fx 93.0a1(08-31-2021) on macOS 10.15 but unfortunately I was unable to reproduce it. I will change the severity to a lower one. If the issue is still a high priority please feel free to change the severity to an appropriate state.
Thank you and have a nice day!
