STR: Go to https://web.whatsapp.com/ Open a chat with a video and play the video Move your mouse out of the video itself Expected Result: Control Panel should be hiding automatically after a period of time. Actual Result: Control panel doesn't not hiding automatically. Switching to full screen and back let's you restore the correct functionality. I've tested it with the current Beta and current Nightly Release under macOS 10.13.3 (64 bit) and two other user tested it with Windows under Firefox 59.0.2 and current Firefox Beta Build (32 bit) and always the hiding doens't work. Firefox ESR 52 works. The feature works on other pages with HTML5 Control Panel (e.g. http://tekeye.uk/html/html5-video-test-page) I currently have some issues installing mozregression under macOS so I'm unfortunately unable to provide a better range.

I have managed to reproduce this issue on latest FF release (59), using macOS 10.13.2 (64 bit) and Windows 10. I have tested the control panel for videos and the automatically hiding doesn't work properly. I've also tested this on the latest nightly build (61.0a1) using the same macOS and Windows and didn't managed to reproduce the issue. To install the latest nightly build you need to go to: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ and select your language and OS. Please retest this issue and confirm if it is fixed on your side. Also, please test if the issue is reproducible in safe mode, here is a link that can help you: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode If you still have the issue please create a new profile, you have the steps here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

Thanks Cristian and sorry about the test. I tested it with the latest nightly build and I'm indeed unable to reproduce the issue anymore. Must been fixed in the last couple days.
