1454963 - On iPad Pro 10.5 in Split view, tapping on text fields or buttons doesn't perform the action.

I had Firefox docked to the right side of my iPad Pro 10.5", with the Twitterrific Twitter client on the left. Twitterrific had two thirds, Firefox one third.

For this, you need an account on the federated social network Mastodon. One such instance could be https://toot.cafe or https://mastodon.social.

I was trying the following:

1. Visit the alternative web client https://pinafore.social.
2. Tap Add Instance.
3. Try to tap the input for the instance.

Result: Keyboard didn't come up.

4. Use the app divider to enhance Firefox to use half the screen width.
5. Tap the input again.

Result: Keyboard comes up.

6. Type in toot.cafe (or whatever your instance is), and tap LoSign In.
7. Now, the Mastodon login appears. Fill in user name and password, or have it auto-fill for you.
8. Tap Sign In.

Result: Doesn't execute.

9. Using the app divider, increase Firefox to full width, effectively nuking the split screen.
10. Typ Sign In again.

Result: Now works as expected.

Important Note: I was using VoiceOver to do this. But since this worked once I increased the size of the Firefox window, I assume this might also happen without VoiceOver, but because I'm blind, I cannnot check that myself.

This is with iOS 11.4 Public Bet 2.

I cannot reproduce this with Firefox 11.0 Final or Firefox 11.1 Beta on iOS 11.3. I tried with and without voiceover.

I tested on an older iPad Pro 9.7" but I doubt that would make a difference.

We probably need to rule out an issue with 11.4 Beta. I'll try to upgrade another iPad to the latest Beta.

Cannot reproduce with same setup as above but then on iOS 11.4 Beta 2.

1. Visit the alternative web client https://pinafore.social.
2. Tap Add Instance.
3. Try to tap the input for the instance.

Result: Keyboard comes up.

I tested this on the released version 11.0 and the latest beta 11.1 (10377) on iPad mini (11.4 beta 2), iPad Air 2 (11.2.5) and iPad Pro (10.3.3). I was not able to reproduce this issue with any of the tested devices. 

Note:
- Also tested with 3rd party keyboards (Swift keyboard).
- Also tested with and without Voice Over
