Lack of High Sierra testing also means that we didn't automatically detect that layered-color font rendering is broken on current macOS; this was reported in bug 1425812, but our tests (running on 10.10) remain green. :\

:dividehex, the work you are doing on osx 10.14 will solve this bug; is there a bug you are using that we could make block this bug?
