User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0
Build ID: 20180427210249

Steps to reproduce:

I selected a bookmarked page from my list of bookmarks.

Actual results:

The page displays but the bookmark "star" is white instead of blue. Thinking the page is not bookmarked I click the star and it adds a duplicate bookmark to my bookmarks. This just started recently and I am on Firefox Quantum 59.0.3 (64-bit).

Expected results:

The page should have a blue star instead of a white star.

Note: If I bookmark a page, the star is blue but if I retrieve a page from my bookmarks, the star is white.

could you please check if the url of the 2 pages is identical, and eventually post it here?
could be the bookmark is http and the page transparently redirects to https?

Excellent! That is EXACTLY the problem! The bookmark is HTTP and the URL displayed is HTTPS. So... what do I do to fix it? LOL

For now just update the bookmark url, we still don't have support to automatically update redirecting urls...

Is there any fast way to do that or is it just one by one?
I don't know if there's any WebExtension to do that around, the only available thing in the product itself is the ability to search urls in the Library, so you can find bookmarks to those urls faster.
Thanks. I never used the SEARCH feature in bookmarks but it does help. Very slow going though because I have literally "thousands" of those redirected bookmarks. <sigh>
