The issue is not reproducible on macOS.
It might have been solved since.
Probably to re-test on linux and see if it persists.
If not, just let's close it.
James tested on Linux and it seems to be working.
to test with Hardware acceleration on/off.

The issue is not reproducible on my Linux machine either, with or without webrender enabled. Let's close this.
