STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open an MDN page, e.g. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/-moz-appearance 2. click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the page (requires that you're logged in and have the right to edit the page) 3. scroll down to about halfway through the page 4. copy a word of text from any app to your clipboard 5. select some word on the MDN page in the top part of what you see in the viewport and then type Ctrl+V to paste (6. don't forget to click the Discard button on the page when you're done testing) ACTUAL RESULTS The viewport scrolls so that the pasted word is at the end of the viewport. This is very disorienting. I also think it's a regression - I don't recall seeing this behavior before. EXPECTED RESULTS As long as the selection is visible withing the viewport it should NOT scroll at all when pasting. Nightly 62.0a1 (2018-05-12) (64-bit) on Linux. (Filing as Editor bug, but it could be a MDN site issue, or a Scrolling and Panning issue. Please reassign as needed.)

Hello! I have tried to reproduce the issue using firefox 96.0a1(2021-11-26) on Ubuntu 20, unfortunately I don't have editing privileges on the MDN site in order to verify that the issue is still reproducing in the latest firefox versions.
Are there some other way to reproduce the issue or is just related to the MDN website? If yes could you please provide some steps in order for us to verify the issue?
If you consider that the issue is no longer available could you mark it as RESOLVED->WORKSFORME?
Thank you!

Redirect a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user to the triage owner.
:hsinyi, since the bug has high severity, could you have a look please?

The way to edit MDN has changed a lot. And the steps described in comment 0 are not applicable.
I'm going to close this as INCOMPLETE.
Should there be another test case or websites to reproduce this issue, please feel free to reopen this. Thank you.
