User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Build ID: 20180517114003 Steps to reproduce: Ubuntu 18.04 and 16.04 Mozilla Firefox version 60.0.1 64 Bit. In add-ons I add "hoxx vpn". When I trying to insert my password the popup of the add-on is closing, and I can not type password. The same also happens for another add-on "setup vpn". Actual results: The add-on popup is closing when I try to insert password in its field. Expected results: It should allow me to add password

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0 (20180529100118) I have tested this issue on Ubuntu 16.04 x64 using latest Nightly and Release (60.0.1) build with the installed Hoxx VPN and Setup VPN addons, but I did not manage to reproduce it. I'm able to write in the password field without any issue. However, I found a thread on Reddit describing a similar or exact issue. Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/8hy028/bug_firefox_addons_with_password_fields_in_ubuntu/ GitHub bug report: https://github.com/ibus/ibus/issues/2002 Based on that I'm inclined to think this is an issue with Ubuntu. Anyway, I would love to hear any developer opinion.

I was able to reproduce this issue with the mentioned add-ons using latest Nightly and Firefox release build. When trying to enter any password the popup is closing.

Good news! This is https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus/+bug/1765304 which was just fixed via a gnome-shell update. If you install Ubuntu updates (and maybe reboot), you should see that the problem is fixed.
(see #64 on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ibus/+bug/1765304 - if the problem's not fixed for you, maybe double-check your gnome-shell package version against what's posted in that comment.)
