I don't think this is related to variable fonts, it seems to be a general issue with the fonts at that site. (And I see the same kind of issue on macOS: it simply fails to use the expected fonts for the various samples.)
Is this a regression, or does Print Preview for this site fail similarly in older Firefox versions?
OS: Linux → All
Hardware: x86_64 → All
Summary: Variable fonts: Print preview fonts doesn't match the actual fonts used on the webpage → Print preview fonts doesn't match the actual fonts used on the webpage

Indeed it seems to be a general issue as Print Preview for this site fails on an older version of Nightly (61.0a1 Build ID:20180326220108) and on Chrome also.
