In 1098544 we have enable theme color support for PWAs.
However, some sites such as Twitter could change the value of theme-color meta tag using JavaScript, while Firefox does not respond to the change.
In this case, the status bar of Twitter PWA in Firefox is white while using Twitter's recently-introduced dark mode. In Chrome, the statusbar changes to dark blue.

Thanks for report!

I can reproduce this issue with Twitter PWA when Night Mode is enabled. Tested with Sony Xperia Z5 Premium(Android 6.0.1) and Google Pixel(Android 8.1.0) on all branches.
