User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.139 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: This might be related to 1465255. To reproduce, join a very large meet call with a mac. Or, load the mac up with extraneous performance intensive processes, and join a smaller call. We've reproed this issue with as few as 16 participants in a call. Actual results: Firefox stopped processing inbound packets. We saw javascript http requests time out, inbound media packet_received counters stop incrementing, and ice connectivity state change all at around the same time. The machines weren't fully pegged on the CPU side necessarily. Eventually connectivity timers would cause the call to exit. Expected results: If a client can't keep up it should find a way to drop frames rather than manifest as zero inbound packets.

Per Bug 1431543, I'm triaging this as Core WebRTC.

Tim, just as a warning on Mac specifically we are aware of a performance issue with Intel graphic cards. It would be very interesting to find out if this problem only reproduces on Macs with Intel gfx, or also on Macs with other gfx cards. The other scenario which comes to my mind is the infamous "abr loading Linkedin in the background" and dropping from the call. The theory there is/was that somehow the networking locked up for too long to stay in a call. We never found a good way to repro this. Basically more data/information on this one would be very helpful.

Nils, interesting about the mac. I know at least some instances were on macbooks. To help repro we can set up a room and invite a large number of bots plus any mozilla.com gsuite accounts at a specified time so that you can try debugging. Does that work? I am going to be on vacation for the next few weeks but Saeed can do that pretty easily if we can settle on a time.
