Seen while running Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0. Running on 10.14 Beta. See attached screenshot. Both Nightly and Firefox beta show multiple instances of "Insert From" in the Edit menu. Not sure what the trigger is. Restarting the Firefox browser often temporarily clears the multiple instances.
Summary: "Insert From" shows multiple times in the Edit Menu → [10.14] "Insert From" shows multiple times in the Edit Menu
Marcia, can you check if this is a recent regression? I know 10.14 is new but knowing when this was introduced may help us fix it.

:spohl, any chance you know what's up here? It doesn't look like this is a menu entry the frontend inserts, more like it's coming from platform/macOS.

I am trying to research where this menu entry is coming from. I did install Tableau Public on the machine, and I am wondering if it possibly came from there.

I'm able to reproduce on a fresh install of 10.14. Every time that I switch to a different application and back to Firefox I get one additional "Insert From" menu entry.

This sounds awfully similar to bug 764696, which was fixed by Apple in 10.8 before it was released. Marcia, do you mind filing a bug with Apple?

I am able to reproduce this on macOS 10.14 and Firefox Developer Edition by changing focus to any other window, including other Firefox windows. It doesn't appear to happen in other applications (at least as far as I know).

This bug is still present in the latest seed with new verbiage. See attached screenshot.
It looks like this is part of the new Continuity[1] feature in macOS 10.14. It might be worth updating or commenting in Apple's bug to specifically call this out. [1] https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2018/06/apple-introduces-macos-mojave/ (search for "continuity")

I no longer see this in the Edit menu in the most current seed ((18A326g). Will keep this open to see what happens in future seeds.
Resolving this as WFM. After two new seeds I no longer see this issue. Please reopen if it is seen again.
