Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0
Build ID: 20180123215146
Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade from firefox-esr_52.8.0esr-1~deb9u1 as usual
Actual results:
Firefox started to have big rendering issues and globally to feel slow.
Randomly some input text box would not render. Reload would fix it. Sometimes ...
2 tabs loading would freeze the browser
On some pages, you're scrolling into blank for 15s to 30s
Expected results:
Keep working correctly as 52.6 ?
I know, a bit vague. Still reverted back to 52.6 and my browser is snappy again.
Pin-ing it to 52.6 for now.

Given that the details of this bug are so generic, I'm afraid this bug is unactionable in its current state.
Ludovic+gh, could you please open Browser Console (Ctrl+Shift+J), while encountering one of the issues (for example when the text box won't render, or when the page is blank while scrolling). I'm hoping there is some warning/error message that sheds some light into this behaviour.
Also, it might worth to download the archive with the build from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/52.8.1esr/linux-x86_64/en-US/ and compare the behaviour between the two builds.
Meanwhile, resolving this issue as incomplete pending reopening on additional information.
