From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc3) Gecko/20020523 BuildID: 2002052306 I run some advertizement blocking software that kills HTTP transactions to/from known ad-sites. In Mozilla this otherwise cool technology gets irritating when you go to a site with some "doubleclick.net" images, and Mozilla pops up a series of dialogs for each blocked image! Alert The connection was refused when trying to connect to ad.uk.doubleclick.net Sorta defeats the ad-blocking software's intent. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Sorry, I do not know the name of the ad-blocking software. (I've tried uninstalling it because of the Mozilla conflict and now the uninstaller is gone but the software is still functioning, sucky but what the hey) 1. Surf to http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/25433.html 2. See the Doubleclick advertisement? That results in a broken image on my box Actual Results: When the page loads the Dialog pops up, for each Doubleclick image Expected Results: I would like a broken image to be displayed if a connection is refused for just an image within a page. A broken-image link is sufficient, a dialog for each page's broken image seems like overkill.
Yep. We should not be using a dialog for this. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 28586 ***
