This is a tracker bug for all work required to replace the existing Translate page with a new version based on more recent Web technologies. Rough timeline for this tracker: 1. Make technical choices and create infrastructure for code and deployment. 2. Build all features from the current Translate page into the new app. 3. Ensure a high level of stability and security through testing (type checks, test coverage, sec review? ). 4. Deploy and test in production with a portion of users. 5. Replace the current page with the new app. 6. Remove all code related to the current Translate page.
