Middle-click doesn't open the facebook chat in a new tab
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0 Build ID:20180717220130 [Affected versions]: Nightly 63.0a1, Firefox Release 61.0.1 [Affected platforms]: Windows 10 x64, Mac OS [Steps to reproduce]: 1.Launch Firefox with a new profile 2.Navigate to facebook.com and login 3.Go to the chat area 4.Hover using the mouse over a contact and middle-click [Expected result]: The chat should be opened in a new tab [Actual result]: The selected chat is opened in the same tab
Does this work in other browsers?
It works fine in Chrome
Hmm, I tried this and it works for me. I wonder if we were being served different content. (I tried in yesterday's nightly on Windows 10)
The issue is reproducible also on Firefox Beta 62.0b9
(In reply to firstname.lastname@example.org from comment #0) > [Steps to reproduce]: > 1.Launch Firefox with a new profile > 2.Navigate to facebook.com and login > 3.Go to the chat area > 4.Hover using the mouse over a contact and middle-click Does the contact here mean the left side in https://www.facebook.com/messages? I could reproduce this in https://www.facebook.com/messages, but middle-click the contact in top-right chat icon did open a new tab.
I'm in News feed page and the contact is on the right side(in chat list)
I could reproduce on Nightly and also Firefox 51. Looks like a long existing behavior. Mark as P3, please upgrade to P2 if you have a different opinion.
