compose butting while selecting a mailing list card in results pane should 
explode list.

it currently puts in the un-exploded, the mailing list name.

note, we do the right thing if you select the mailing list in the dir tree, and 
the dir tree has focus.

Agree. Sounds familiar, might be a dup? (can't find bug)

- is this a spec? ... "we do the right thing if you select the mailing list in the dir tree"
- list doesn't expand when typed into a compose window.
- it doesn't expand when selected from an AB.

Isnt' this combination of behavior inconsistent? Or is it a feature to allow one to implicitly add the individual contacts to the compose address list, to allow editing of the list?  I would argue not, because when one selects the mailing list in the dir tree,  contacts are easily all selected or selectively chosen as needed.

Bug 440377 might argue against exploding the list - I'm not sure.
