Details

Relevant RFCs specify that email headers may not contain 8-bit characters. However, every message I receive from Bugzilla contains an 8-bit character in the Received: header: Received: (from nobody@localhost)\n \tby mothra.mozilla.org with \234 id g4SM9QQ20700;\n \tTue, 28 May 2002 15:09:26 -0700 (PDT)\n The \234 on the second line represents a single byte with the high bit set. This causes my MTA to wrap every incoming Bugzilla email in an error message. I don't know whether this is a problem with Bugzilla or the MTA on mothra.mozilla.org, but I suspect the latter.
