Open two tabs. In the first, go to a web page you know will take some time to
load. The status bar will display an appropriate "loading" message. Switch to
the second tab. The status bar will change to "Document: Done". Return to the
first tab. The status bar will continue to read "Document: Done" even though
the document for that tab is still being loaded.
The progress bar behaves similarly.

Yes. I was unable to see this problem, until I moved to a (slow) dialup
connection, where I could notice pages loading.
More information on how the progress idicator (percentage of page loaded) is
affected:
(1) In Tab A, load a large page. Progress creeps up 10%.. 20%.. 30%.. etc
(2) While progress bar creeps.. switch to Tab B
(3) Switch back to Tab A, and the page is still loading, but the progress bar no
longer exists (causing user to believe the page is done loading)
I am using the latest nightly build, and am on WinXP.
Changing Platform and OS to "All"
To note, this bug may be fixed when bug 133250 ("Transferring data from..."
remains on status bar.) is fixed.

Apologies, I didnt realize this was a "Chimera" bug. My comments may better fit
in bug 147818 (Status bar ticker fails to update when tabs switched.)
I am changing OS and Platform back to Macintosh. I will let the bug owner and
reporter handle the bug. ;) sorry

Target Milestone: Chimera0.5 → Chimera0.6
Don't know if this is directly related (I suspect so), but in Chimera build
2002090505, if I have several tabs open, even after each of the pages has
loaded, many times the "Stop" button will remain active and the "Reload" button
will be unavailable. Again, this is after the progress meter has stopped, and
the page has completely loaded.
This seems to happen most often with MacCentral and VersionTracker. I always
have these two tabs available, as they are supposed to auto-update every few
minutes. But under Chimera, they don't update - apparently because the browser
thinks they are not finished loading. So, until you hit "stop" for either of
these sites, "reload" (and therefore the ability for the page to refresh by
itself) won't work.
Hope that makes sense....
