When listing an item on ebay to sell in an auction, pictures will not display
when using Mozilla. When using Netscape 4.0 it is fine, When using Netscape 6.0
there is only access to the basic picture features, when using Mozilla it
dosen't work at all. Ebay is a very large community of people and if they
cannot use Mozilla while listing their auctions they will not use or promote
Mozilla. There are millions of people using ebay every day.

This is very likely a duplicate of one of the many ebay evangelism bugs...

-> JKeiser. John this sounds like it may be related to the file upload bug you
solved a while back.

please retest, Ebay has fixed numerous issues with their site for us.

I have retested and the problem still exists. I'm using the release version 1.0
and still have the problem as of 06/18/2002.
The platform is Mozilla 1.0 running on Linux (RedHat 7.3). This problem does
NOT exist when tested on a Windows platform. I tested using 1.0 RC3 on Windows
2000 (the problem did exist on Linux RC3 as well).
Specifically, images display properly in a summary listing (as in search
results) but not when viewing a specific item.

I was about to dig in to fix this problem, and did some further looking around
and found one thread somewhere that mentioned that Mozilla would not load images
from servers other than the page's originating server.
I just found that there's an option to override that and allow images from
anywhere. I don't know if the default setting is just different between Windows
and Linux (I don't have access to the Windows version right now to check).
I recommend confirming that the settings are consistent for a default
installation or just closing out this bug completely.

Works for me on Mozilla 1.1 under Linux. I've put up several "for sale" listings
on eBay over the last few days, and the picture upload feature works just fine.

So is anyone still seeing this?

I cannot upload pics to eBay when submitting listings (ipix problem? dunno...).
It has worked a time or two - but 9 times out of 10 it will not. Works fine
with IE and NS 6.0+. So I'm assuming it's a Mozilla problem (I'm using v.1.0.1
on Win98SE) Any clues? I tried a long shot by downloading the ipix plugin, but
it won't work for Mozilla - only NS4+. Any answers out there?

I have the same problem when uploading pics. I have mozilla 1.2.1.
A little popup-window appears, then the main page changes to a blank page and
nothing more happens.

Chris, can you still reproduce the bug using a current trunk build?

I just downloaded Mozilla yesterday. I like it! However, in doing some Ebay
business today I noted this bug. My browser does not show uploaded pictures
while I am listing nor when I am just browsing items.
