If I have an email that contains a link to a web page, and I have enabled
"middle click opens link in new tab" enabled in Prefs, then middle clicking on
the link in the mail window does nothing.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable "middle click opens in new tab" in prefs.
2. Receive email containing link to web page.
3. Middle click on link.
Actual Results: Nothing happens.
Expected Results: Either a) a new Browser window opens with the link in it, or
b) a new tab opens in the current browswer window. If no current browser window
is open, then a new browser is opened.
I would conjecture that the open in new tab code is confused by the fact that it
is in a mail/news window, and therefor cannot create a tab.
