Firefox 62 is shipping on September 5 with the Canadian English (en-CA) locale for the first time. I’m serving as one of the localizers. Is it possible to use geo-targeting snippets to promote the new locale to American/British English (en-US/GB) Firefox users living in Canada? There is no easy upgrade path; users have to reinstall the en-CA version to change their locale. A snippet for Release channel users should link to the download page at https://www.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/ The en-CA locale is already available on the Beta, DevEdition and Nightly channel. A snippet for these pre-release channel should link to https://www.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/channel/desktop/

While I see an advantage for en-CA, the risk of losing some of these users because something goes wrong seems pretty high. In a few releases we are going to have a language switcher in preferences, that seems like an easier target than asking existing users to reinstall Firefox.
> In a few releases we are going to have a language switcher in preferences That sounds great. Then we can start this campaign after that, not with Firefox 62.
The current target is 64, hopefully it won't slip past that.
