For some reason, Bank of America's NW (Washington state and Idaho) online
banking pages take a VERY long time to load in Mozilla 1.0rc3 (and earlier) on
Mac OS X. The main Bank of America page does not load slowly. The online banking
pages don't load slowly in IE on the same machine, and they don't load slowly in
Mozilla on FreeBSD on other machines on the same network. Yet it's 100%
reproducable in Mozilla on this machine. It takes several minutes to load every
page starting at https://onlinebanking-nw.bankofamerica.com/login.jsp and
including all of the pages inside the online banking application.
This is Mac OS X 10.1.4, Build ID 5R60.

Mozilla build 2002052305, but I've seen this in earlier releases as well.
(on Windows 2000) took about 25/30 seconds for Mozilla [2002053008 (trunk)] to
load the page; the same for IE5.5SP2 which eventually said "The page cannot be
displayed" (but perhaps thats bcos I've got it tied down to the ground with a
muzzle and chain)

This sounds like bug 147908 (and probably others) that SSL seems to have got
very slow on MacOS X since RC1.

That does sound likely. However, it's not all SSL pages. For example, the
Amazon.com your-account area loads very quickly, and it's all SSL.
