"kill thread" does not work for mail

Details
command "kil thread" ('k' letter) filters out
whole discussion thread in folder in both mail
and news in Netscape 4.7X.
In mozilla "kill thread" works only in news, but
not in mail. And it is almos impossible to read
large mailing lists now :(. Can you please bring
"kill thread" back in mail?
