It works for me too. Reporter : do you have any problem with your ISP ? No problem with WinXP and build 2002053006.

WFM Are you running a proxy? Perhaps your dns server in /etc/resolv.conf works, and the one in your proxy isn't.
related to bug 128898?
Reporter: Have you enabled HTTP pipelining? (preferences/advanced/HTTP networking) Possibly dup of bug 142103

I do not have pipelining turned on. I can get to the site using NetScape on the same box. I am not going thru a proxy

as this is a https:// - do have PSM installed?
Reporter | ||
Comment 8•22 years ago
|

I don't know what PSM is.
PSM is the "personal security" module of Mozilla, and it's optional at install time If you open Preferences > Privacy and Security > SSL: Do you have various items listing on the righ side of the window?

In SSL Protocol Versions, all are check. In SSL Warnings. "Loading a page that supports encrytion" and "Sending form data from an unencryted page to an unencrypted page" are not checked.

This is probably one of those annoying IPv6 connecting to bad server w/ bad primary DNS server bugs...

I am able to resolve the name and I am able to get to the site with netscape on the same machine.

Netscape Communicator or Netscape 6/7? Mozilla (Netscape 6) has more sophisticated IPv6 support. Communicator probably has none.

I have compiled the kernel without ipv6 support and I now can get to the site. Shouldn't Mozilla be able to get to this site with ipv6 support in the kernel? It is compiled in the default kernel. Thanks for the help!!

Sort of. It's a complicated problem that I can identify, but do not fully understand. I'm working on trying to get some more IPv6-smart contributors to contribute :) Someone will dupe this soon, then you can read the right bug.
