Environment:
Device: OnePLus 5T (Android 8.1.0);
Build: Nightly 63.0a1 (2018-08-16);
Prerequisite: devices & apps section should be populated with more than 2 devices.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go and log in with the same account on desktop and Android;
2. On desktop, go to Manage account page and disconnect all the devices expect Android and the current device (desktop);
3. Perform a sync on desktop;
4. Perform a sync on Android and go to Manage account page -> devices&apps section.
Expected result:
Only two devices are displayed, desktop and android.
Actual result:
All devices are still displayed on Android, the action of disconnecting has no result after performing sync.

Sorina: there are a couple of things at play here:
1) the accounts.firefox.com view of devices and apps. I think this is what you're seeing, and I would expect that disconnecting on Desktop and then viewing on Android would correctly show the disconnected devices.
2) Firefox for Android's list of known devices. This is used for Send Tab targets, for example. This list is cached and has pretty bad behaviour when devices are disconnected -- at best the devices will age out after... 3 weeks, I think?
Can you confirm (perhaps with a screenshot) that you're seeing the issue with 1)?

As Sorina is in PTO, maybe Oana who tested with her can confirm.

I couldn't reproduce Sorina's issue, but as far as I know from what she told me and from her description, she's talking about the Manage account page: about:accounts?action=manage (when you tap the username from Settings>Sync).

Grisha, can you take a look? Or help find someone to investigate? It doesn't look like a front end problem for the fennec team.

about:accounts?action=manage
If this is indeed a problem in about:accounts, it sounds like it's an FxA bug, since IIRC about:accounts just iframes in some web content. I wonder if this may be a caching issue of some sort, e.g. if about:accounts is already open or cached somehow on the Android device rather than loaded fresh after doing the disconnect on Desktop.
