Environment:
Device: Nokia 6(Android 7.1.1), Sony Xperia Z5 Premium(Android 6.0.1);
Build: Nightly 63.0a1 (2018-08-19);

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to Youtube.com and play a video;
2. Swipe down the notification bar and tap on the "Pause" button from media control.

Expected result:
The notification bar is still displayed after the button was tapped.

Actual result:
The notification bar is closed after the button was tapped.
If you open then notification shade again, the notification appears, though, right? In that case I'm fairly sure this is bug 1479314. It's just that in my case I have some other apps displaying notifications as well, so the shade doesn't autoclose like in your case.
