Hotmail does not seem to recognize Mozilla as a 'Netscape Navigator version 4.08
or later' browser when signing up for a new account, signing up for a .NET
passport or changing a Hotmail password. I've contacted their support team and
they've told me the following:
I believe your problem is due to your browser settings and configurations.
Please contact the support group of the browser you are using so that they may
address the problem immediately.
I believe this may be their fault and I've contacted them several times but I'm
filing this bug anyway to see what can be done - it's no good if Mozilla users
can't get a Hotmail email address using Mozilla
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.hotmail.com
2. Click on 'Sign up'

Actual Results: The following message is displayed:
Microsoft® .NET Passport no longer supports the Web browser version you are
using. Please upgrade to a current Web browser, such as Microsoft Internet
Explorer version 4.0 or later, or Netscape Navigator version 4.08 or later.
Expected Results: The normal page that Internet Explorer displays should have
been displayed.
