Mozilla asks confirmation if I want to install 
http://mozilla.deskmod.com/files/mozilla/files/pinball_1.0.3_1.0_RC3.jar .
I say yes.
Then I get:

MOZRMI36.DLL 0002:0001600e

I was able to install the LittleMozilla theme before. I tried with it and with Modern and Mozilla 
crashes anyway with this URL.

I'm assuming you mean the RC3 build.

This has been fixed in the current branch builds.

verfied, since reporter didn't confirm that the bug still exists in the latest
versions.
