Steps to reproduce:

Having moved from Firebug to using Firefox inspector I've been struggling with large range of font sizes used in the different areas and tabs While we can use Ctrl+ to make the codearea fonts bigger, the other text becomes objectionable. I've tried the 'fix' via userContent.css file but not achieved any changes.

Runing on SUSE Leap 42.3 with Gnome on quad 1920x1200 monitor stack. 


Actual results:

The code areas ov Inspector, Console, Debugger and Style Editor are around half the size of the areas around the sides, and areas like @media rules are bigger again.


Expected results:

Increase code area font size by 2/3rds and trim @media rules, Network and Storage by 1/4 or so, so that when using Ctrl+/- all areas scale to a similar hight character.

I verified this issue on Ubuntu 16.04 x64 with Firefox Nightly 64.0a1 (2018-09-05) (64-bit) and I cannot reproduce it after following your steps.
Could you please create a screenshot? Thanks

Attachment: This is the base after hitting Ctrl+0 On my 24" monitor text is too small to read without moving forward.

Attachment: Hit Ctrl+'+' Text still a little small but usable but note that tabs have wrapped due to THAT font size.

Attachment: THis is the Storage Tab Resukt after 4x+ any more to make inspector text cumfortable overflows this page.

Monitor is 1920x1200 and the images are trimmed to around 1/3 width and 3/4 height of the display area. All other fonts on the desktop are now fine, it's just the fixed width font on 'Developers Tools'

This sounds more like a DevTools design issue than a Layout bug; moving to that component.
