I can only occasionally see one or two white dots on Android, but I do see some extra black lines on Windows when the cube is rotating. I would guess this is probably a graphics issue than a layout issue.

The original Google Doodle URL no longer exists. I found an apparently clone at https://sites.google.com/site/populardoodlegames/rubik-s-cube, and that one does not show the issue afaict. Closing.
