Details
Am using Mozilla 1.0rc3 on Mac OS 10.1.4, company LAN, G4 desktop model.
I find that loading some Web pages is extremely slow. For even a trivial page
with a few small graphics, it can take 20 to 60 seconds. We have two in-house
Web servers; one running http and the other https. Loading pages from the https
server is routinely very slow, as I described. Loading the very same page from
the http server is nearly instantaneous. Using the same Mac, I ran a test
comparing this Mozilla release to IE v5.1.4. Loading the same page from both
servers is nearly instantaneous.
I have seen other bug reports of Mozilla being VERY slow, but this seems related
to secure vs. insecure. The https server is not accessible outside the
"corporate" net, so I've not included the URLs.
