User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0 Build ID: 20180830143136 Steps to reproduce: I am not 100% sure I understand the cause, but I think after updating in Windows with the self updater, drag and drop from windows explorer, or opening links externally (e.g. a link to a youtube video in slack) will not work in Firefox. My guess is that FF remains in escalated privileges after updating, and so drag and drop/opening links from non-escalated programs is not possible for valid security reasons. After rebooting firefox (without admin prvileges), everything worked as expected. Actual results: After firefox self updated, if I draged a file to upload from Windows explorer, all I got was the "no entry" sign for the cursor (the circle with the slash through it showing it's not possible). I tried this in basecamp and gmail. Expected results: Drag and drop should have worked as expected.
Hi orangehaiku, Thanks for reporting this bug. I can't seem to reproduce this issue with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0 What version of Windows 10 are you using? You can find out by opening the command prompt (type in cmd on Windows search near the start window) and type in winver and press Enter. Please provide the version and OS Build.

Hmmm Maybe my guess of the cause was wrong. I am currently in build 1803 of Win 10, build 17134.285
Flags: needinfo?(orangehaiku)
sorry that was version 1803, build 17134.285. Sorry for the typo
