Would love to hear a bit more about this request.
Just some background on why it's not currently in the footer.
We made a very conscious decision when updating the moz.org footer to only include Mozilla things. The reason behind this is users have been confused in the past to what things are Mozilla and what things are Firefox. Mainly because they are on mozilla.org and assume things in the footer are for that site. If there is a need to promote Firefox's Instagram account or any social accounts I think there may be some other ways we can do it.

I originally thought the request came in because there was no Instagram link at all. Clearly we need to stick with what we've got, the work was already done that consider this.
If the Firefox Instagram can be provided in the Firefox site /firefox/*, other than in the footer, great. But that's a different request.
Closing this as invalid.
