Build ID: 20020603 (but seen in prior builds too)
Every time I attempt to download an executable file (various websites), I get
the same error message (will attach screenshot). The file is successfully
downloaded, but in order to find that out you would need to know to go to the DL
manager and find the file and then launch it.
The expectation is that the save dialog comes up when trying to download an exe
- Evelyn confirmed that this is what happens on her machine. Not sure how I got
into this state, but it is bad enough that we should at least look into it and
make sure it's just my machine and only happened because of all the kung fu I do
with it.

Todd: what do you have specified for browser.helerApps.* prefs? You can find
them using about:config (the blue "user" lines are the interesting ones) or in
your prefs.js file.
[Probably the same as bug 154346]

Dan,
Of the three browser.helperapps.* prefs, one is not set to default. That one is:
232 browser.helperApps.neverAsk.openFile
The Value column scrolls off my screen so that I cannot see all of it, but it
looks like it specifies which programs should handle certain file types without
asking. I do not see anything about .exe file handling in the part that I can see.
