This happens in nightly and beta, but not in release.

Affected: beta 63, version 20180917143811, and version 20181011200118
Affected: nightly 20181003223518 and 20181013100102
Not affected: release 62.0 20180830143136 nor 62.0.3 20181001155545
Not affected: chrome any version I tried (including latest unstable)

This makes Twitter nearly useless on mobile.

What's fun is that everything works fine on the desktop version of twitter, where image URLS are like this: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DpYLiSiVAAIbjtX.jpg. This means we can actually connect to this HTTPs server.

Humm there's something else happening on desktop, it works the first time, and when I reload it doesn't anymore.

Anyway I'll dupe to bug 1488240.
