Steps to reproduce:

Running Nightly -- updates applied as root.


Actual results:

Annoying "Nightly can't update to the latest version" dialog keeps popping up.


Expected results:

This dialog is not appropriate for users on systems which require root privileges to perform updates:
$ ll /usr/local/bin/firefox/firefox*
