User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0 Steps to reproduce: Up to date Firefox on up to date Windows. 1) visit a discourse forum website: e.g. https://elixirforum.com or https://clojureverse.org/ - from here on known as siteX 2) visit some other site (google.com) 3) visit siteX Actual results: - Corrupted Content screen displayed -console has error message shown: > Failed to load ‘https://clojureverse.org/t/java-10-announcement-implications-for-clojure/1583’ 2. A ServiceWorker passed a promise to FetchEvent.respondWith() that rejected with ‘Error: TypeError: NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource. Expected results: Site should have loaded normally.
to note: - more info & discussion at https://meta.discourse.org/t/firefox-experiences-network-protocol-violation-on-discourse-based-websites/97308/ - disabling uMatrix extension allows sites to behave correctly BUT - not an issue in Chrome with uMatrix enabled
opened issue on uMatrix at https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uMatrix-issues/issues/79 to track. This this may be Firefox behaviour as root cause but it just manifests due to something legal/allowed uMatrix is doing
