From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530 BuildID: 2002053012 I've been experiencing a strange issue with news, sometimes when i click on a newsgroup, it shows the threads, and a thread is already collapsed, even while I haven't even read that thread, it seems to do it quite randomly, in several different newsgroups, I can't really find a pattern. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a newsgroup Actual Results: All threads should be closed or maybe threads that I left collapsed previosly should be collapsed still. Expected Results: Threads that I haven't thouched before are sometimes collapsed. If this happens with other people as well I figure it's quite a big bug cause it's very annoying!
AFAIK, normally when you switch to a newsgroup it will be shown with *all* threads collapsed with the only posssible exception for a thread with the first new message. Are you seeing something different?
Arno, I don't understand this bug - news threads are collapsed (but threaded) by default whenever I view a new newsgroup (as Aleksey mentioned). What are your view settings?
