1503784 - regression password never save not being honored

Steps to reproduce:

When I supplied logon credentials, I am prompted whether to save the password. I click on "NEVER SAVE".


Actual results:

Next time I log on to a site (due to the bug of Firefox frequently and arbitrarily logging me off), I am prompted again whether to save the password. This behavior first observed with Build 20181031223503


Expected results:

After selecting to NEVER save passwords, I should never again for Firefox to remember the password.

This works for me as with a current nightly (Built from https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/182a1b088330a2d72310ae2561004d955571e236) on windows10 

The "do not save" domain is stored and visible in options/Privacy&Security/Login&Passwords/Exceptions

Is it possible that some time passed before you opened the site again with the login fields ?
Could be the same as bug 1503757 in that case

"Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" in options -> Privacy & Security -> "Logins & Passwords" was and is UNchecked.

Since the problem apparently appeared with the start of Bug 1503757, when I was logging on every two minutes until I gave up in frustration, and the problem disappeared with Build-ID 20181101151140 (the respin to fix Bug 1503757), I would say the circumstantial evidence was that it was related.

To be sure: The bug in this report is now also fixed with the new build ?

YES! The bug in this report is now also fixed with this new build!

I had to log on to over a half dozen websites since that build and not once was I prompted to save the logon credentials.
