I'm thinking this bug was closed prematurely. It could be google is simply better at fingerprinting you in Firefox Stable.

I tested 2 freshly created profiles. Firefox 78.0.2 and Firefox Nightly 20200717093907
I set resistFingerprinting in both and loaded the test page.
Firefox 78 got a score of 0.7.
Firefox Nightly got a score of 0.1 as in the original bug filing.

If I understand the bug correctly, that's still causing recaptcha to block users?
