Hi, I'm not sure if "Toolkit Add-ons Manager" is the correct component for this issue but if there is a more suitable component please feel free to change it.

Indeed. Out of interest, can I ask why you were so interested in landing this work before next ESR?

Actually I am just following the development of Firefox and especially the Fluent migration. As far as I can tell that part seemed to be the last piece within Add-ons Manager and the code seemed ready. I thought it would be beneficial to everyone, if the legacy .properties file would be gone for the ESR, which is the base for other products (e.g. Thunderbird).
Sorry, if that was not helpful. Probably I should not have mentioned the ESR explicitly.
Nonetheless thank you and everyone else for making Firefox possible!
