Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530
BuildID: 2002053012
When Mozilla is installed and set as the default browser on Windows XP, there
are two icons at the top of the XP start menu, one for "Internet" and one for
"E-mail".
1. The Internet icon - when you right click on this icon, you can select
"Preferences". There is an invalid registry entry that causes an error dialog
box to come up.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla\shell\properties\command]
@="C:\\PROGRA~1\\MOZILLA.ORG\\MOZILLA\\MOZILLA.EXE-chrome
\"chrome://communicator/content/pref/pref.xul\""
There should be a space between MOZILLA.EXE and -chrome.
2. The E-mail icon - right clicking on this will bring up a menu allowing the
user to change Internet properties, but these are for Internet Explorer. There
should be a "Preferences" option as with the Internet icon, and this should
bring up the mail and news preferences dialog. (Easy to do - just add a similar
registry entry for mail).
3. The E-mail icon has the caption "Mozilla 1.0 Mail" while the Internet icon
has the caption "Mozilla" with no version number. That seems inconsistent to me.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Mozilla should be set as the default browser and e-mail client.
2. Click XP's start button.
3. Right click on the Internet or the e-mail icon
4. Select "Preferences" or "Properties"
Actual Results: The preferences dialogs don't appear as they should.
Expected Results: The appropriate preferences dialog should appear.

This is basically bug 113936 not quite fixed. Line 406 in nsWindowsHookUtil.cpp
needs a space.

Any idea when / if this is gonna get fixed?
We've passed 2 biggish (1 and 1.1) releases, and its still there.
I can cope with it at the moment, but it get boring having to do this each /
every time I install.
Tnx
