Bug 1502688 got created for a reftest failure where the reftest screenshots look the same and the "Circle differences" checkbox highlights an area for which the pixel inspector shows black pixels in one image while they look white in the screenshot. Extracting the images from the log and opening the data urls in new tabs or setting the background of the reftest analyzer to a color different from white shows that one image has transparent pixels. Possible solutions: Try to find an unused color and use that as background, add text if transparent pixel in differences.
