Since getting my new computer, trying to run Firefox with WebRender enabled spews the following output to the console:

EE ../../../../../src/gallium/drivers/r600/r600_shader.c:183 r600_pipe_shader_create - translation from TGSI failed !
EE ../../../../../src/gallium/drivers/r600/r600_state_common.c:799 r600_shader_select - Failed to build shader variant (type=0) -1

over and over again.

Rendering itself seems to be unaffected.

I attached my about:support so you can see things like driver details.

I mean.. it seems a bit of masochistic to keep using such an ancient Mesa version.

AFAIK that error was fixed in 17.3.

I mean.. it seems a bit of masochistic to keep using such an ancient Mesa version.

I'm just running whatever Debian stable ships...

So.. like update?
Or is this like a memo?

Also, probably duplicate of bug 1393793

So.. like update?

I had a look, and stretch-backports does offer mesa 18.2. I've upgraded, and can confirm the issue is gone.

I'm going to close this as invalid as it's an upstream issue.
