We'd like to see more data from a newly shipped feature.
This is to get use counts of Shadow DOM.

The answer to question 3 isn't enough for me to be able to proceed with the review response. Please list the ways other than data collection you explored to answer these usage questions and why these non-data methods were insufficient.

Chrome feature status data (https://www.chromestatus.com/metrics/feature/timeline/popularity/804)
could be useful to some extent, e.g. rough idea of how widely this feature is used by websites.
However, the data there can't help us interpret the impact after we ship this feature on Firefox or can't tell if the usage on Firefox
is close to imagination when planning or can't reflect the change if we start to advertise it more.

Notes:

Excellent answer for 3, thank you.

DATA COLLECTION REVIEW RESPONSE:

Is there or will there be documentation that describes the schema for the ultimate data set available publicly, complete and accurate?

Yes. This collection is Telemetry so it is documented in the Probe Dictionary and on the telemetry.mozilla.org Measurement dashboards.

Is there a control mechanism that allows the user to turn the data collection on and off?

Yes. This collection is Telemetry so it can be disabled in Firefox's Preferences.

If the request is for permanent data collection, is there someone who will monitor the data over time?

Yes, Edgar Chen.

Using the category system of data types on the Mozilla wiki, what collection type of data do the requested measurements fall under?

Category 1, Technical.

Is the data collection request for default-on or default-off?

Default on, all channels.

Does the instrumentation include the addition of any new identifiers (whether anonymous or otherwise; e.g., username, random IDs, etc. See the appendix for more details)?

No.

Is the data collection covered by the existing Firefox privacy notice?

Yes.

Does there need to be a check-in in the future to determine whether to renew the data?

No, this collection is permanent.
