Hi All,
The flash demo on cch's web site (http://tax.cchgroup.com) asks
for a flash plug-in to work, even when flash is installed and works
on several other web sites.
The flash demo is found on the left side of the page about
half way down and has the following link:
javascript:JumpOut('flashdemo/flash.htm','ClientRelate',725,445,1);
Re-re-installing the flash plug-in's does not help. The problem
exists under both Linux and Windows NT.
Can this be fixed or worked around?
I am using mozilla-2002053119_trunk-0_rh7.i386.rpm on Linux
Many thanks,
--Tony

Hi Matti,
Err, I am confused. Is the link asking for the wrong plug-in?
If so, any idea where to (manually) get the correct plug-in? :-[

Flash accepts this mime-types :
application/x-shockwave-flash Macromedia Flash movie (*.swf) swf Yes
application/futuresplash FutureSplash movie (*.spl) spl Yes
The page has this line :
<embed SRC="cch_parent.swf" BORDER="0" WIDTH="701" HEIGHT="425"
type="application/x-flash"
(BTW: they send application/Octed-stream for the .swf file)

try going straight to the plug-in: http://tax.cchgroup.com/flashdemo/cch_parent.swf
I believe the method used to access that plug-in is incorrect

this is a site content issue, they are using the wrong mime-type selection

I am the original reporter. The demo now works for me as well (on
1.4rc1 and w2k-p, sp3). Please consider this fixed. Thank you!
